How to make

Dry

  • 1 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 1/2 tbsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp allspice
  • pinch salt

Wet

  • 1 1/4 cup plantbased milk (I use oat usually)
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1/3 cup vegan butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips or chopped pieces

Toppping

  • 1/2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • extra chocolate chips/pieces

Directions

  1. Pre-heat oven to 350F; line loaf pan with parchment paper.

  2. Pour milk and apple cider vinegar into a jar or bowl, mix, and set aside.

  3. In a large bowl, combine all dry ingredients; use whisk to mix together.

  4. In a seperate bowl, mix together the vegan butter and brown sugar. Stir in vanilla and milk/vinegar mix.

  5. Pour wet ingredients into dry and mix until jsut combined; stir in chocolate chips and let sit for about 3-5 minutes.

  6. Mix together sugar and cinnamon topping.

  7. Pour batter into loaf pan and add toppings.

  8. Bake for 42-48 minutes.

  9. Once baked, remove from over and allow to sit in pan for about 5 minutes; then remove and allow to cool before serving.
